Hemptana: Hemp Seed Oil

Add hemp seed oil to your horses feed by drizzling one to four ounces on their feed daily.

Hemp seed oil is a cold-pressed, anti-inflammatory oil containing Omegas 3, 6, and 9. These are essential fatty acids and are not made naturally in the body, meaning they must be obtained from food. Unlike humans, if horses eat enough Omega 3, their bodies can produce the other fatty acids. Hemp oil is a great way to provide horses with a healthy fat containing these essential nutrients. Additionally, hemp seed oil contains gamma linolenic acid (GLA), which is not found in other vegetable oils such as corn or soy. GLA promotes healthy anti-inflammatory properties, is a cancer fighting agent, offers immune support, and is an aid for horses with insulin resistance.

Hemp Seed Oil Composition:

Omega 3 Fatty Acid (Alpha Linolenic) 16%

Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA) 5%

Omega 6 Fatty Acid (Linoleic) 52%
